Building a weekly learning rhythm
Plan a week around anchors and flexible blocks instead of a rigid schedule.

1. Choose anchors: 2–3 things that happen daily at roughly the same time (morning read-aloud, lunch, quiet time).
2. Add core blocks after the anchors: short focused sessions for reading, writing, and math.
3. Give each weekday a theme for extra subjects, for example Monday science, Tuesday art, Wednesday co-op, Thursday history, Friday field trip.
4. Leave white space. One open afternoon a week helps you catch up or follow a child's interest.
5. Review on Friday: keep what worked and change one thing for next week.
Tip: write the rhythm on one page and post it where everyone can see it.
